Thursday evening, my wife's boyfriend came over for dinner. The three of us seem to have a pretty stable relationship so far, which I'm pretty proud of. It feels like a little family, where I'm the kid.
But anyway, like I said he came over for dinner (we had meatballs and french fries yum!) and my wife let him settle down and making sure all of his basic needs where met.
As I was pouring a glass of my favourite gin, he said to my wife: "Yo, I just realized, that [can't say it cause I'm white] looks like Minecraft Steve!" It's worth pointing out that I was wearing a teal t-shirt and a pair of jeans that night which is where he was coming from.
Him and my wife started laughing while my wife was playfully bumping him on the shoulder. In an attempt to show off to my wife and play along, I told him: "Yea, I'm dressed like Minecraft Steve, but at least he got a way better fashion sense than Soulja boy, which is what you look like". After telling him that, he stood dumbfounded and didn't say a word. My wife on the other hand, shot me with a murderous glare.
The night went on. My wife's boyfriend thanked us for the dinner, kissed my wife on the lips, he said she loves her, my wife said "me too" then left. The moment he left, my wife and I started arguing about that insult I threw at her boyfriend, telling me how obvious it was that he felt uncomfortable with that, how he'll never want to see her again because of me and that I ruined her only chance at true love.
Needless to say, she demanded I slept on the couch that night
