Welcome back to our fourth installment of BP News! Today has been a day of chaos and changes, and we'll cover it all in this volume! Before we begin, I'd also like to announce that a website is in the works so that users can see all past volumes of the news.

Staff Changes

A lot of discord moderators recently had a major promotion and officially joined the BrickPlanet staff team. They no longer just moderate the discord, but now help watch over the forums and accept pending assets. Those who were promoted are Hypo, Preston, Rat, and Kurido. While most of these users have stuck around the site for multiple years, there are also newer ones who have joined the rank of the staff.

Bugs and Vulnerabilities

Multiple new bugs have been spotted around the website. From annoying visual disturbances to what the staff consider massive "exploits", numerous bugs have been brought to the surface. Some lesser bugs were spotted earlier in the day which included the "Featured Items" section in the shop being unable to load. Instead of displaying items, the sidebar of the website was in the middle of the page. Thankfully, this issue was fixed. However, multiple major vulnerabilities were also discovered. To begin, a user found out that changing the name of a clothing bundle to ".." would display a server error. Another user reported that multiple accounts owning a "pirate" clothing bundle were temporarily locked out of their accounts due to the bundle causing issues with the shop. Not only that, but using inspect element on certain pages allowed players to bypass privacy settings on specific pages. While these bugs all ran rampant in the last few days, we can thankfully confirm that they have been patched.

Crazy Price Change

The item "Deal With It Shades" had a price change today, causing the new price to be 10 credits and 100 bits. However, this item was not changed once, but multiple times! Players who have an item notifier or check the recently updated section in the shop would discover that the price of these shades was edited multiple times, despite no notifiers indicating any major change in the price. This odd phenomenon may have either been an error of the notifiers, or simply a mistake on the end of the item uploader.

Secret Item Edited

A hidden or deleted item in the store was recently updated. A piece of hair by the name "Bush Hairy" had an edit made to it in which some aspect of it had changed. While we are unsure at this time if the model/texture changed or if it was a description edit, the item remains unavailable to users. When clicking on the link, it simply redirects back to the front page of the shop. Maybe someday users will be able to wear this odd and intriguing hat, but that day has not yet arrived.
