Hey everyone! Welcome back to another BP News Volume! We have a lot to cover today, and we have so many new features to talk about and upcoming updates that have been announced. Let's get into the important news, and work our way down.
Net worth Update
Recently, Isaac released what is called the "Net worth Update", which lets you see how much your account is worth in credits, and shows you on your profile what position you are in on the leaderboard! If you notice on the sidebar, there is a new option called "Economy" which lets you see the total amount of credits and bits in circulation on BrickPlanet, the top 10 users with the most Net Worth on BrickPlanet, and the top 10 most valued items on BrickPlanet. For this week, the top item is Vantablack Shades which is currently valued at 9,152 credits.
Up in first place for the leaderboard, we have Sheath, with over 466,931 credits in net worth. Up next in 2nd place we have a crew with 291,381 credits in net worth. And in 3rd place, we have Sterncross with a total net worth of 266,758 credits. Future Updates
Isaac recently announced on Discord and also made a post on the forums talking about some of the upcoming things that are going to be released on BrickPlanet. Currently, Isaac has confirmed that the lead developer, InsDel, is still working on the BrickPlanet Client and is currently working on opening the workshop for private beta testing at the end of November, and he is aiming to release the new client and workshop for supporters who bought access by December 14. Isaac also confirmed that Brick Square is still planned, and development will begin on it after the client and workshop are ready.
For the website part, Isaac has confirmed that crates are going to be coming to the website! Isaac also confirmed that a Christmas crate will be released on the website and will be public in the upcoming weeks. It is currently unconfirmed when it's going to be released, but staff member Kurido has said that the crate is planned to release in December. Some of the items that might return in the Christmas Crate could be Burly White Scarf, Icy Sword, Snowman Head, and Candy Cane Swords. These are just predictions, however, and are unconfirmed. If you have some predictions you'd like to make on returning items, let us know in the replies! We would love to hear you guys out, and your thoughts on the future crate. Isaac then goes into talks about how a new feature is going to be added to guilds, giveaways, which gives the users the ability to start giveaways on their guild officially. Isaac confirmed that this is a feature in the works due to popular demand. Isaac goes on to talk about how he's going to make it so non-Astro users can create guilds after tons of feedback has been given, also confirming that Astro members will be able to make more than 25 roles in their group by having Astro. Isaac talks about how net worth is going to be returning, however, the update has been released today. For the biggest surprise, Isaac has confirmed that an event is going to start in December! Yesterday, a new forum category was added to the website! The category is called Guilds, and users are now able to advertise their guilds within the category, and it is a great way to search for guilds and get more information on which guild you're interested. GUILD SOLD?
After talking with Plotagon yesterday, he confirmed with me that he has sold his group, also known as The Silk Road, for 9,000 credits. The reason he provided me with this is that he had some personal things going on and that he also believes that he can't manage a group that big. The new owner of the guild is darks 100, and activity for the guild should continue as normal.
