Hey everyone. I just wanted you all to know that I'm going to be officially making the move from a LOLer to a LMAOer. There are many reasons for the switch, so I hope you can understand my decision.

I think the driving force is that lol is just worn out. I've always been a bit of an underdog myself, so using LMAO gives me a bit of edge to my comments that I sometimes feel I was lacking.

Second, it just has a bolder presentation. The extra letter gives the oomph that I think it needs. It works well as a stand-alone.

Also, lol is filled with too much irony nowadays. It's almost lost any meaning.

And this is more on a personal note, but it's shares a nostalgic history for me. I remember my dad calling me into his room to point as his computer and telling me what LMAO was. It was truly a funny moment to hear my father say "ass."

Anyway, thanks for listening and I hope it's not too big a shift for y'all. I encourage you to look at the words you guys use and maybe make the switch as well.
