A larger moderation group is needed. I think if we’re going to have a larger moderation team, Isaac needs to hire soon (and get people to do that)

It's good making that suggestion as yes he does need a bigger moderation team, 5 moderators and 2 admins isn't gonna last on the ever growth on brickplanet but it's mostly about how?

How would Issac choose/hire more moderators, you can't release applications cause who knows if they are actually experienced or not further more trusted with the power of a moderator.

Further more a moderator has the power to view people's IP's etc, having the access to the one of the most powerful tools on the website (admin panel) isn't a very good thing to given someone who isn't trusted enough isn't a good idea.

Issac probably has got some people in mind who he'd like to hire but probably hasn't decided either if he should or if he should not as trust is not an easy thing to gage when it comes to certain people.

I'm not trying to be mean but it takes forever for something to finally be approved or denied by the moderation team!

I can see your point. Maybe they could add a ranking system that gauges how much access you have to what and what you can see on the admin panel. For example if you just got hired you would not be able to ip ban or deletes accounts and can't see players' ip addresses, but the trusted higher ups would.
